If you love writing as much as I do, you want to do it full-time. This may be your chance… Discover Kindle romances.
Everyone loves a lover…
* Readers love romance: H.M Ward made $100,000 from Kindle ebooks in just ten days;
* New writer? That’s great, new writers shine at romance, as do established writers;
* You can write a romance in just hours… end procrastination for good.
Does Kindle publication seem a real challenge? Start writing what sells. Romance readers read a lot, so if you can write romance, you’ve got it made.
Hi Fellow Writer
I started my writing career way back in the 1980s as a romance novelist with British publisher Macdonald Futura. In those long ago days, getting published was hard. You had to find a publisher and a literary agent, and getting your book from idea to publishing day took years.
Today, you can publish as fast as you can write. Write a short romance in the morning, and publish it in the afternoon. Moreover, if you write what’s selling, readers will buy your writing.
Writers are making handsome livings writing fiction and self-publishing on the ebook platforms.
Tip: to sell, you need to write what’s selling.
To sell ebooks, write what’s selling
Romance sells. Readers gobble it up in many different flavors: straight romance (contemporary or historical), erotica, paranormal romance (which includes sub-genres like vampire romance), young adult, and the HOT new flavor, new adult (just out of college)…
Romance is the hottest selling genre in fiction. You can make an unbelievable amount of money if you’re hard-working, and lucky enough to hit a nerve with readers.
How much money? H.M. Ward reports: “A book in the top ten sells around 5-10K copies per day. Let’s take the average and give the book some wiggle room and say it’s selling 7K copies a day @ $2.99. In 7 days you’ll have made (net, not gross) over $100,000.”
Sounds like an unbelievable amount of money — $100,000 in ten days. However, it’s within the realms of possibility for you, if you remember it takes both hard work, and luck. Do you know of any other business that you can get into with no experience, and without any working capital, and make that kind of money?
Who can write romance?
Anyone. You don’t even need to be especially romantic. Heaven knows I’m not. Men can write romances too. In the movie As Good As It Gets Jack Nicholson played Melvin Udall, a bestselling romance novelist.. Generally speaking, men tend to use pen names, but Nicholas Sparks for example, doesn’t.
Get started writing romances today
Romances are easy to write. You need two characters, a situation, and some obstacles for love to overcome. Actually, if you’re writing BDSM erotica, you can have more than two characters, but I digress…
My point is this: romance sells because of the romance, the emotional connection which readers make, not because of clever plotting. Thriller and mystery writers are all about the plot, but romances are all about people. And a happy ending.
I’ve been coaching writers, and several students write romances. Specifically, erotic romances, under various pen names, so that they can use Amazon’s search function to make sure that their ebooks get found — and sell.
Their romances sell. Yours will too. You can write them under your own name, or under any name you choose.
Coaching is expensive; several students asked for a “romance writing class” option. As always, your wish is my command, so here we go. A romance writing class for you, which focuses on writing AND selling.

“Julia asked me to test the romance writing class and I had nothing to lose. My girlfriend asked to help, and our first romance is now online… Yes, this is from a man who thought he couldn’t write fiction.” Matt L. UK
“When Angela read one of my proposals, she said I should turn it into an ebook series. She asked me to try the class: I love it. Solid, practical advice you can use, as always… romance is my new career.” Sara W. France
Wondering if YOU can write fiction?
If you read short stories and novels, chances are that you can write them. All writers have imagination. In many ways, fiction is easier to write than nonfiction. And it’s more profitable too.
