Beginning writers in any area tend to be nervous and somewhat intimidated.
That’s fine.
Everyone starts in the same place. Years ago, when I submitted my first book proposal, I burst into tears as I packaged it. I was horribly nervous… no, strike that. It went beyond nerves. I was terrified. I’d wanted to “be a writer” from the moment I learned how to read. Now I was taking the first step…
I wish I’d known then, what I know now: everyone loves a beginner, and makes huge allowances for them. This applies to publishing houses, as it does to any client who hires you.
Here’s a big tip: Play up being NEW
Many clients will hire you because you’re new.
They know that as a beginning writer:
* You’re more hungry;
* You’re more accessible;
* You’re cheaper;
* They’re less intimidated by you… Yes, just as you’re intimidated by your clients, you scare them too. They think writers have magical powers — they can communicate.
You won’t be a beginning writer forever, so enjoy it while it lasts. Tell your clients you’re new — you should be proud of yourself. You’ve taken the first steps on an amazing writing career.

I love to read about your writing tips. When I started blogging my writting skills sucked, but now it’s getting beter and better each month. I also started to enjoy writing. Before it was more of a need to post articles at the blog.
Best,
