Selling blogs – are you creating a blog to sell it?

Over the past few weeks several blogs have sold, and the sales were made public. I’m sure many more blogs change hands without the sale being publicized.

“Selling Blogs – Factors of Valuation” notes:

The last couple of weeks have seen some real action in the selling of blogs in the ‘make money online’ part of the blogosphere with the sale of Blogging Fingers ($6000), Ryan Shamus ($2500) and One Man’s Goal currently up for sale and with the bids up to $6000. Add to that NorthxEast selling a few weeks back ($8200) and there has definitely been something in the air.

These were all “make money” blogs; not the easiest kinds of blogs to sell, but if you look at the figures for the blogs which sold – PR, backlinks, monetization strategies etc it will give you an estimate of what your own blogs may be worth.
