Ok, two weeks into this (the 100 Day Writing Challenge). I have changed my thinking from wow, can I do this? To ok, I’m getting set up to do this. I can do this. I can do a little at a time but I can do this. This can be my career now.
There are so many things I want to do now. I want to be able to write, but I don’t want to spend my time writing and writing for things that don’t mean anything.
I want to write things with meaning and I want to spread things around. I want to set up my resource bios so that I can spread my links around. I also want to progress on making money but not spending my time writing things where the return is small or nil. I want to be smart so that I can work less and earn more.
I have spent the last fourteen days trying to do two things simultaneously. Learn more about how to write and where to apply for work. Try to work up the nerve to apply for projects.
My unemployment ran out again. I do not have enough money coming in. I spent $250 over the last month setting up a five book set of devotionals from my blog, Driving with Anna. While I could use that money right now to keep my bank account level in the black, I cannot regret doing this. I have published works that people are reading and commenting on. I just need to make money fast.
I think my main difficulty right now is not having enough confidence to apply for work online. I don’t have confidence in my ability to convince others more than a lack of confidence of my abilities themselves. I am excited about the new direction Angela is taking us. She is talking about confidence. That is what I need now.
I will continue to do marketing for my sites by learning article marketing. I will continue to apply for work, whether I feel confident or not. Failure might haunt me but it is not an option. I need the money. I will continue to learn and search out new places for applying for work or finding clients. I will continue networking online as well as taking opportunities to network offline.
On to week three! Let’s be confident! Let’s write!
