How do you get inspired to blog? You create a challenge. As I mentioned in Write A Book, Grow Your Blog, I haven’t been giving that blog much love at all. So I joined NaBloPoMo for April. I’ll be blogging daily, for the entire month. (I hope.)
As I said in the post:
When writers tell me that they don’t have time to blog, I tell them that blogging helps me to write. Over the years (16 to date), blogging’s been my default setting; it helps me to explore ideas, and think about readers. And that’s a good thing.
So, although my To Do list and calendar this month are more than full, I know I’ve got a better chance of meeting my deadlines if I set a blogging challenge.
What about you? Do you set challenges for yourself?
Join me — challenge yourself
Join me on NaBloPoMo, and let me know.
If you’re writing a book, or working on client projects, remember that your primary goal is to do that work. Blogging is secondary, but you’ll be pleased that blogging will help you with your primary goal.
You’ll do that if you remember to have fun. The more fun you can make all your writing, the more you’ll accomplish.
