In a nutshell: diversification is essential for ALL writers, and diversifying into fiction is a great strategy. Fiction outsells nonfiction. Yes, you’ll need to learn how to write fiction. Take the time. It’s worth it. Years ago, I heard bestselling author Robyn Carr advising writers to think of studying fiction as they would studying for a degree.
