I’ve discussed the iPad apps I use every day, so I had to share the details on the latest (and absolutely wonderful) writing tool I’ve been using on the iPad.
It’s no exaggeration to say that Writing Kit has changed the way I use my iPad.
I’ve tried various ways to write blog posts on the iPad, including the WordPress app, but never settled on any of them. I’ve always ended up using the Evernote app (excellent) to write blog posts and short articles.
Here’s the workflow I use now, combining InstaPaper, Evernote and Writing Kit:
1. Click Read Later on my browser toolbar to get material into InstaPaper (superb);
2. Click the red heart, as below in InstaPaper to send pages to Evernote automatically;

By clicking the red heart, that automatically sends the page to Evernote, which means I can read it on my computer, and other devices (link your Evernote account to your InstaPaper account by clicking the Account link in InstaPaper.);
3. Work with InstaPaper directly in Writing Kit, or access the material in Evernote.
Easy — and fun. I can write articles and blog posts anywhere and everywhere.
The secret of formatting text in Writing Kit is Markdown, which I’ve discussed. Writing Kit has keys which enter Markdown code, so you don’t even have to learn it — not that there’s much to learn.
If you’re still looking for an iPad writing app, I heartily recommend Writing Kit. Like the best apps, it gets out of your way so that you can write, with everything you need at hand.
