How good are you at asking for what you want?
Most of us are woeful at it, unless we make an effort.
In this post, Power Blogging: Achieve Your Writing Success | Angela Booth’s Fab Freelance Writing Blog I suggested that you need to train your prospects:
“When you train your prospects, they will buy from you, as long as you remember one essential: you must ask them to buy. Please don’t assume that because you’re a writer, your blog’s audience will join the dots, and will ask you to write for them as soon as they see your name… they mostly won’t.”
Think about asking for a moment. What could you ask for?
Make a list. (It’s the right time of year to make a little list of what you want.
)
Then use your list to start asking for what you want.
If you’re not used to thinking about your own needs and desires, creating the list could take you a while, but that’s OK. Give yourself permission to think about it, because it’s important.
You can’t ask, until you know what you want.
Once you know, start asking.
I often think that one of the primary benefits of learning copywriting is that you become much more comfortable asking for what you want.
In the Comments, please tell me whether asking for what you want is a challenge for you.
If it is, I’ll write more on this topic.
