100 Day Writing Challenge: Week 5 Ends

I have discovered that I like journaling about my accomplishments the day before and what I intend to do today.  I’ve spent most of the week making too long of a list because I wasn’t sure what I needed to do.

Even though I didn’t meet some of my goals for this week I am feeling optimistic for the next few weeks.  I feel like I am more focused now and understand what I need to accomplish and why it needs to be done.  This helps me spend more time on writing and less time on trying to decide what would be the best thing to do today.

I spent most of today refocusing my goals.  I still have the same goal in the end, but I have refined how I am going to get there.  I am learning who I am and I am becoming more confident in whom I am.  I am hopeful that I may yet reach my goal in just a few short weeks.

I learned to ask this week.  I started out by asking my son to get me a bottle of water from the other room.  I have progressed to applying for more writing jobs this week than I have so far this year.  I am asking people to hire me because I do have expertise and experience that they can use.  I am worth the price I set for my bids.  I am more optimistic.

I have decided on what I need to focus my time on in the next few weeks to put myself in the position to meet my goals.  Thank you Angela for this week’s lessons of asking and making a list of what I intend to do.  These are habits I intend to continue.
