Writing Articles: Still the Easiest Way to Make Money Writing

You can make money writing for them in one of two ways:

* Advertise yourself as an article writer who writes for the directories and guarantees publication (many business people and marketers find writing for the top directories like Ezine Articles a real challenge), so if you can guarantee publication, that’s worth money.

Publishing on the free article directories is a great promotional strategy. I’ve been benefiting from it for years. It means that I don’t need to spend huge sums promoting my business: I simply need to spend time.

So that’s the article directories. A goldmine for writers if you know how to use them.

Another way to benefit from articles is to write Private Label Rights (PLR) material.

Write PLR articles: an El Dorado for writers

I’ve got a huge fondness for writing and selling PLR. If writing PLR would fit into my business plan, I’d build an entire business on it. I tend to look at the profits of PLR longingly from time to time… However, my business plan for the foreseeable future is creating information products, and you can’t ride two horses at the one time.

I encourage you to explore PLR, if you’re looking for a way to grow your profits from your writing exponentially.

I occasionally browse PLR sites, and over the years have been a member of several of them, but most PLR sold online is… to put it bluntly… unbelievably shoddy.

Any writer who sets up to write PLR and writes quality material has NO competition. Cr*p PLR sells so well that there’s no incentive for sellers to lift their game, and that’s proof that there’s a huge gap in this market which competent writers can fill.

Writing articles for online publications

Online magazines like Wired, Slate and Salon will pay you to write articles. There are many others, in various areas like technology, business, health and fitness…

These magazines pay their writers reasonably well, and if you’re an intermediate writer who’s had some success writing online and offline, you can approach them.

Many trade magazines have either moved to the online world completely, or have an online component, so they’re another great market for your words.
