Giggle (and a sob): newspapers’ content dilemma

Dilbert.com

I love the above cartoon, because it summarizes newspapers’ content dilemma perfectly. They need to completely reinvent their business, and it’s not easy. There’s just too much news content online, for newspapers to be able to monetize their content at anywhere near the profitability of print advertising.

It’s a sad situation. I can’t imagine a world without newspapers, although the golden age of newspapers is long past.
