Writing for money: looking for extra money for Christmas?

by angela.booth on November 13, 2009

At the beginning of this year, I wrote this post Sell Your Writing Services: Three Easy Ways | Writing Hacker by Angela Booth:

“I got a huge thrill just before Christmas when a student sent me a message saying: ‘This is the first time ever I’ve been able to buy presents for the kids without worrying about credit card bills. We’ve also been able to help out a member of the family who needed it. It’s all been possible because my writing is now bringing in a good part-time income, which is growing every month. My husband looks more relaxed too, knowing we have extra money coming in.’”

A couple of weeks ago this writer got in touch again.

Here’s part of what she said (published with permission):

“I just wanted to thank you for the Sell Your Writing Online NOW (SYWON) web writing training. When I look back at this time last year, my life has completely changed. I quit my day job in March, and just last month, my husband quit his job too. He’s now helping me with the two large content sites we’ve created. This year to date, I’ve tripled the income I used to make in my day job, and I’ve just hired a virtual assistant to help me out. You were right Angela, there’s never been a better time to be a writer. Thank you for everything you do!”

If you’re looking for extra money for this Christmas, read the above article, and start writing. You may just have the best Christmas you’ve ever had. The writing jobs are out there. The demand is huge, and if anything, it’s growing.

If you find writing “hard”, in next week’s issue of Fab Freelance Writing Ezine, I show you how to make writing easy, so you can write more, and make more money writing.
