Would you like to start your own work from home business? Web articles are in high demand, so if you have some writing skills you will be able to get lots of jobs in this hot new field.

As you become experienced, you’ll soon have a list of people who buy articles from you consistently, month after month.

1. Discover Article Writing: Who Buys Articles?

Your first step is to discover who your buyers are.

The web is built on words, and for their websites to be found online businesses need to buy content. This means that they hire article writers. You don’t need any specific experience, you just need to be able to write on topics which website owners give you.

To get an idea of the kind of articles you’ll be writing, visit some of the popular article directories. You’ll find articles on thousands of topics. Read articles on the topics with which you’re familiar.

You’ll see that most of the articles on these sites are very short, most are around 400 to 500 words.

2. Get Practice Writing

Now you see what Web articles look like, you can get some practice in writing them.

Write at least five articles, on any topic you choose; these articles will act as your samples. Please don’t skip this simple exercise. The exercise is for you, as well as for your clients.

The more practice you have in writing articles, the more quickly and efficiently you will be able to write them. You’ll also come to understand what makes a good article different from a bad article. Aim to write good articles. The Web is becoming more competitive every day, and although there are lots of junk articles, buyers are becoming more discerning, so you should aim for quality.

3. Get Article Writing Jobs

Once you’ve written some sample articles, your next step is to get article writing jobs.

There are many of these jobs on the outsourcing sites. Get several jobs and make sure that you ask your buyers for feedback. Feedback is vitally important. When you get good feedback, you get more buyers.
