I’m a big believer in creating your own writing jobs, especially in the current economic climate, where people are just plain nervous about life in general, and their jobs in particular.
Therefore I was fascinated to read this story in Techcrunch, which mentions the iPhone Mom Blog.
Who is she and why does she blog?
On her About page What I Do | The iPhone Mom she says:
“I review iPhone apps for moms. I have no technical background other than the ability to use a computer, email and of course, my iPhone. My kids qualify me for the mom category. I’m not a dummy when it comes to techy things (I’m on facebook and have a blog for goodness sake!) but the technical (for lack of a better word) guts of how the apps work are way beyond my mom brain. So my reviews will be practical and purely subjective. Reviews for moms by a real life, actual mom. My kids will vouch for me.”

If others have the same challenges and interests as you, and if there’s a physical product involved, you WILL make money. Now the iPhone Mom has been mentioned in Techcrunch, she’s gained instant presence online — I’ve no doubt that she’s well on the way to making a great income from her blog;
* It’s really easy to get started online, and to build a great writing career, when you write reviews;
* You can turn a hobby into cash online;
* Great, simple, money-making ideas are out there, and you can get them too;
* Moms can be entrepreneurs; 
* BLOG!
You don’t need to be a mom to learn a lot from the iPhone Mom… great blog name and tagline.
