* Understand that as a writer you have VALUABLE skills — most people can’t/ don’t want to write

* Expect to get jobs long after you’ve stopped calling

* Understand that when you take massive action (200 calls, remember) you get massive results

* Charge MORE than you think you should (you’re judged by how much you charge)
