How much do YOU make freelance writing?

Many of the searches on this blog this week were devoted to “how much can I make freelance writing?”

The searches were:

average freelance writers income
money for short stories
how much can you make freelance writing
what should I charge for freelance copywriting
freelance writing fees

I’ve covered all those questions on this blog, and on my writing blog too, so I won’t cover them again.

Instead, I leave it open to you. :-)

From August 2008 through December, I earned just under $3K working part-time as a freelance writer – all web-based writing (blogging, SEO writing and articles published online) I would say I spent 25 hours/week writing, researching and looking for more work. I worked fewer hours in the beginning, but slowly increased hours as I found more work.

Am I happy with that? Yes! Do I want to do better in 2009? Absolutely!
