Today’s writing tip: use keywords for article title inspiration

As you know, keywords are vital to getting your Web content found online. They can also provide inspiration for articles.

BTW, key WORDS can be key PHRASES and often are.

I’ve just checked Clicky, which is my Web site stats program, and here are several of the hundreds of search terms this site’s visitors have used in the past 24 hours:

how much do I charge to write a brochure or Web site
writing for income
freelance, freelancer, usage
podcast how to write phd thesis mp3
high paying writing jobs

I could use any of those search phrases as a keyword for an article, or even for a series of articles. (The searcher who wants thesis writing tips in an MP3 was possibly a mite optimistic. :-) )

There are many keywords tools online, my current (free) favorite is Google’s own AdWords tool.

When I’m planning articles for a site (like this one), I visit a keyword tool and make notes of keywords I could use.

Then I create article titles, using those keywords.

When I’m ready, I outline the articles, and write them.

So, when you need inspiration, remember you can find it when you use keywords to provide it.
