Freelance writing for a BIG pay day

Creating Web sites and blogs can lead to a great pay day.

Size Doesn’t Always Matter, Authority Does. | WebProNews reports:

“Bankaholic is a one-man WordPress blog run by 22-year-old Johns Wu, who just got the deal of a lifetime when he sold it to BankRate for $15 million, proving that blogging dreams really can come true.”

Sites and blogs are online properties. If you create a great site, and the planets align correctly (with the current financial turmoil, I’m sure that Bankaholic attracts huge traffic), you can do very well indeed.

We cover blog and site flipping in Sell Your Writing Online NOW (SYWON) because lightning does occasionally strike, although you shouldn’t bank on it. (Pun intended.)

What you can bank on however, is that if you create a great site and monetize it well, so that the site is making an income, you can SELL it if you get bored with it, or when someone makes you a great offer.

Consider that creating a site or blog is simple. Then you keep adding content. You start to earn money from the site, and the income increases over time. Then if you wish, you can sell it.

I’ve said it many, many times, and I’ll keep saying it: the Web offers unlimited opportunities for writers. Get writing. :-)
