At a rough estimate, 95 per cent of ebooks which don’t sell were doomed at the outset: when the author got the idea and started writing.

So this week I’m working on a video: “Ebook: Pick a Bestselling Topic for Your Ebook”.

In my definition, a bestselling ebook is one which sells 5000 copies in a short period of time with little or no advertising.

I’ll show you how to pick a topic for your ebook so you KNOW the ebook will sell, and sell well, even before you start writing.

The video is completely free. I’ll let you know here, and in the ezine, when it’s ready. It shows you the method that I use to pick ebook topics, both for myself, and for my mentoring students.

Video transcripts – sorry, no

I’ve had many requests for video transcripts from writers on dial-up connections. Unfortunately, offering transcripts won’t work for the videos. In the videos, I show you techniques which can only be explained when you watch them. Audio alone would be meaningless.

The weekly podcasts do come with transcripts, but not the videos.

My solution? I’ll be offering high resolution videos on DVD next year. In HR, with a larger size, the videos are much easier to watch. So if you’re on dial-up, please be patient.
