Writing skill is your key to money, money and more money

On Saturday I received an email message which contained these words: “I know that I’ll never make much money from my writing, but…”

I took a deep breath, and resisted the urge to bang my head against my desk.

Then I took another couple of deep breaths.

WHERE do people get these silly ideas about writing?

Wait… I realized that I know where they get them.

Basically, they have no idea how commercial writing works. They think that all writers starve in garrets.

If you think that you’ll “never make much money from your writing”, ask yourself:

* How much money do large, established money-making Web sites sell for? (The answer is five, six and seven figures.)

* How much do bloggers get paid? (The answer varies, but if you’re blogging for a corporation, four and five figures a month.)

* How much do copywriters make? (The LAZY ones make six figures a year.)

* How much do screenwriters make? (scripts get optioned for five and six figures.)

And so on…

Commercial Writers (Freelance Writers) Make Money, Lots of It, Especially Online

Freelance writers who have learned how to write, and know WHAT to do with their writing skill are the kings and queens of the online world. There’s no cap on their income. They truly can make as much money as they want to make.
