Writing it rich: writing and flipping Web sites

Watch for my new Writing It Rich site, coming soon, devoted to helping you to make money from your writing. If you have an ounce of entrepreneurial flair in you, and passion for writing, you’ll love this new site.

One of the topics we’ll discuss on Writing It Rich is Web site flipping.

Sell Your Writing Online NOW (SYWON), offers an introduction to the process. Several subscribers have run with this, and made it their entire business plan for 2008/ 2009. :-)

What’s “flipping”? It’s process of writing Web sites, and selling them. This process has the potential to make you a lot of money for relatively small effort.

It’s a great way for any writer to make a great part-time or full time income, because you already have all the skills you need.

I know one writer who sold a 13-page site for five figures. Here’s what she told me: “I got the idea for the site and set it up on a weekend. I had every intention of building the site out and keeping it long term. I hadn’t even considered selling it when a buyer made me an offer – he wanted the domain name, which was based on a profitable keyword.”

You don’t have to wait for buyers to come to you, of course. You can build sites specifically to sell, at places like SitePoint.

So if you’re interested in site flipping and other ways to “write it rich,” watch for the new site.

In the Comments, share how you’re using your writing ability to get rich.
