You’ve just completed an ebook, and you’re wondering what to do next. The ebook is selling well, and you’ve received some enthusiastic messages from buyers.
Why not create a membership site based on the information in your ebook? While some topics may not lend themselves memberships in which you provide on-going help, tutorials, tips and information to ebook buyers, many topics will.
If your topic is anything to do with relationships, parenting, weight loss, money or beauty for example, the topic definitely will support a membership site.
I’ve been working with a student in my “Create and Sell Ebooks and Courses FAST with a Mentor” mentoring program, and we’re working on developing the content for his membership site as he writes the ebook.
This is the ideal way to do it, because you’re creating three products, rather than one. When you’re done, you’ll be able to sell:
* The ebook as a standalone product
* The ebook with a membership in the members’ only site
* Membership as a standalone product
How much money can you make with a membership site?
This depends on the topic, but membership sites in popular topic areas like self-help bring in between $20,000 and $50,000 dollars a month.
So if you’ve completed an ebook, or are working on one, start thinking about your buyers, and whether you could provide additional information to them each month. A membership site will build on the success of your ebook.
