Adding a PayPal Buy Now button in SynthaSite

Here’s a site I set up in SynthaSite in just a minute or two

I set this SYWON site up in just a couple of minutes. Easy, fast and free setup and maintenance is the beauty of using SynthaSite.

Now, let’s imagine that I want to add a PayPal Buy Now button to this site.

First, I need to visit PayPal.

In your PayPal account…

Go to your PayPal account and log in.

Tip: open your SynthaSite site for editing too, it makes it easy to copy and paste the code for the PayPal Buy Now button.

Click the Merchant Services button.

Click the Buy Now Buttons link

Look for the link to the Buy Now buttons.
Click the link.

Fill in the form to create the code for your button

PayPal generates the code for your buttons, all you need to do is complete the Web form. Type in a name for your item, and a price, and then complete the rest of the form.

If an option doesn’t apply to your product, ignore it.

Get your code

PayPal provides good Help, so get help if you need it.

Eventually, you’ll have completed the form to your satisfaction. Then just click the Create Button now button.

You’ll receive some code, which you will copy and paste into a SynthaSite page.

Back in your SynthaSite editor…

Look on the Content Sidebar.

See the HTML widget?

Drag it to your page.

An HTML editor will open.

Paste your code into the HTML editing screen

Just paste, and click OK.

Your PayPal Button

Depending on which button you chose, your button will look something like this once you’ve saved your site and it’s online.

So click the Update button now.

Update your site

Click Update My Site, and your site’s updated, with your PayPal button ready to receive orders.
