You can get all the traffic and buyers you need, but you must prime the pump.

So, how do you do that?

Here are some methods:

1. Start with content. You need content on your site to offer gateways for people to find you via the search engines.

So focus on content. Original content WILL bring you traffic over time, so create your content, and keep creating it.

2. Get backlinks. Google rates your site according to how many other sites link to it. Linking strategies are often overdone, because many site owners become obsessed with them. You must have good content first, and then get links.

Most of your links should be organic - other sites link to you because they like your content.

Remember that your Web site is just one site, among many millions on the Web. Do some marketing, which generates traffic, and among that traffic will be buyers for your writing services.
