Are you using Twitter?
When I first started using this micro-blogging service, I couldn’t work out why I was bothering… what can you say in 140 characters?
As it turns out, Twitter is addictive.
Twitter May Not Have To Care About Uptime Any Longer says:
“For me Twitter became indispensable in March 2008, when my usage skyrocketed (I started using a desktop client to read and write messages) – see image above. It is now an important part of my work and social life, as I carry on bite-sized conversations with thousands of people around the world throughout the day. It’s a huge marketing tool, and information tool. But it is also a social habit that’s hard to kick.”
I send out tweets several times a day, often just providing links to new articles and blog posts I’ve written. Since I write a lot, it lets readers keep up with the content.
It’s very useful for SYWON subscribers too, because they can use the information I provide as they work with their weekly lesson.
So I have to agree with Michael Arrington – I may need Twitter more than it needs me.
