Freelance writing: get paid for writing reviews

by angela.booth on May 25, 2007

One of the easiest ways to make money online is by writing reviews.

Essential: Get a Web space where you can post your reviews

Read my post “Your writer’s Web site: free options” on Fab Web Writer. Posting on your own site is common sense. You’re aiming to make money out of this, so don’t go posting for free. When you post your reviews on other sites, someone is making money out of the review – but it’s not you.

Once you’ve written a collection of reviews, you can monetize them in various ways. Post AdSense ads, for a simple way to start. You won’t get rich from this, but it gives you a starting point.

You can also monetize your reviews by promoting affiliate products. Do a search for “review topic +affiliate” in Google. Sign up for the affiliate programs.

Once you start getting Web traffic and making a little money, you’ll find other ways to monetize your reviews. There are endless ways to make money online if you can write, so get hustling.

Offer paid reviews

Over time, your site will become well known. At this stage, you can do reviews for payment. Just ad a little advertising block to your site, with “Get your product reviewed”. Depending on how much traffic your site gets, you’ll be able to charge from $50 to $500 per review.
