Writing and selling ebooks online is a fast way for a freelance writer to generate some cash. All you need is your writing skills, and a hungry market.

You promote your ebook by writing articles about the ebook, and posting the articles on online article directories like EzineArticles.

Promote without giving away too much information

I’m often asked by new ebook writers HOW to promote without discussing and cannibalizing the ebook.

Here’s my answer:

Think about your target audience. You wrote the ebook to help them find a solution to a particular challenge.

Write about aspects of the problem, and aspects of the solution. However of course they’ll need to buy your ebook to read the whole solution.

Most subject areas are so huge that you could write a hundred books and not even scratch the surface.

Don’t forget Amazon – not only can you write reviews of books which cover your area, you can also write review articles. All this makes for great promotions’ opportunities.

Just get started. I find that I get ideas when I’m writing – the writing primes the idea pump.
