Want to get fast, easy and very profitable writing gigs? Write for the Web. In 2007, the Web is still terra incognita for most writers, so there’s much less competition.

The easiest way to get started writing for the Web is via blogging, because a blog is the easiest Web site you can create. Once you’ve created a blog, you can point editors and clients to your blog as your online portfolio. And yes, you do need a portfolio.

The benefit of a blog is that it showcases your work, and you’ll find that people will approach you to write for them - this is much easier than looking for writing gigs yourself.

Writers to whom I’ve suggested blogging invariably tell me that they wish they’d created a blog earlier.

Read my blogging ebooks - Blogging For Dollars if you want to become a pro blogger, and Writing Success with Blogs if you want to use blogs to build your writers’ profile see this post in my writing blog.

Blogging is the lazy writer’s route to unlimited writing gigs - just ask any writer who blogs. :-)
