1. Stop thinking like a writer. Start thinking like a marketer.
2. Stop thinking “writing” and start thinking about the people who buy your writing and why they buy it.
3. Spend half your writing time each day marketing your writing business.
4. Aim to be paid for everything you write.
5. Learn about the Web. Learn how to create a simple Web site that makes money - a blog. Then create several blogs and monetize them.
