Freelancing articles online: write and sell articles

by angela.booth on January 26, 2007

Freelancing articles on the Web is big businesses. Many writers make an income writing articles for Web sites. The writers writing for large corporate sites make a very tidy profit indeed. Newer writers who are just building up their portfolios, make a smaller income writing for small Web sites and for individuals.

Why write articles? You write articles:

* For clients you’ve won via out-sourcing sites like Elance and Guru.com;

* To promote your writing services/ freelance writing business;

* To sell in packages as Private Label Rights articles.

Writing for the Web is different from writing for print, with one of the major differences being that online, articles are written with the search engines in mind. Your clients will often give you a list of keywords to target – to include in the article so that your article is found by Web surfers.
