You’ve decided to start your own writing services business. good for you!

Since it’s a business, it needs a name, so you start brainstorming. What will you call your business?

Let’s say your name’s Jenny. You could call your business:

* Jenny’s Writing Services

* Jenny Writes For You

* Jenny’s Write In Time

(The above are fictitious names. If I’ve hit on a real writing service and it belongs to you, let me know.)

Brand your own name to build your platform

Although you can create a name just for your business, and you should if you think that you will be selling the business at some stage, you should also consider branding your own name.

Branding your own name is important if you want to build your name. For example, if you want to write a book, you need to build a platform of readers, so you would promote your name as much as possible, so that it sticks in people’s minds. In that case, your business’s name would be just: your own name.
