A couple of minutes ago I received a message from a client telling me that her new site is online. I created the concept for the site, and wrote the first five pages, so that she can write the rest herself.
The client is thrilled. I’m thrilled. I love writing for the Web, primarily because it’s instant gratification. For example, I can write this blog item, and hey presto, it’s online ready for you to read, in seconds.
If you’re a freelance writer (or would like to begin a lucrative career), consider writing for the Web.
My new “Writing For The Web” ebook writing manual will get you started.
TIP: although there’s ALWAYS more writing work than you can handle when you’re writing for the Web, at this time of the year, with the holiday season looming, many site owners are desperate for writers. Bump your project and hourly rates up. No, you’re not profiteering.
If your clients are earning hundreds of thousands of dollars from your words, you deserve to be paid well.
