Writing for the Web is a lot of fun. For me, it’s much more fun than writing for print because I’m into instant gratification. It takes less than half an hour to create a blog post and publish it online, and only slightly longer to create a Web page, if you use an easy-peasy tool like RapidWeaver.
In Writing For The Web, my ebook on how to get started writing for the Web, I’ve emphasized that you need to become visible online. This saves you searching for work, because people contact you. Your visibility begins with your Web site, or your blog if you choose to use your blog as your Web site. (Note: although a blog is a Web site, it does require some tinkering to make it work just like a site. I’ve discussed this on my Blogging For Dollars Blog.)
